About Angélique's Apothecary

Born in the Heart of the Rockies

Angélique's Apothecary began with a simple idea — that luxury should be pure, honest, and close to home. What started as a single jar of whipped tallow cream made for family and friends grew into a passion for small-batch skincare crafted from nature's finest ingredients.

We work hand in hand with PBJ Cattle Company in Divide, Colorado, whose respect for the land and care for their animals reflect our own values. Each product is made in small batches, ensuring quality, freshness, and care you can feel.

At Angélique's Apothecary, we're proud to offer skincare that nurtures both skin and spirit — pure, comforting, and beautifully affordable.

The Story Behind the Name — Angélique's Apothecary

People often ask how my business got its name, and it's a story that's close to my heart.

I was adopted as an infant. My parents claimed they didn't know much about my birth family, only that my biological father was French Canadian.

When I was in high school, I came up with a little secret identity — Angélique DuBois — so I could pass notes to my best friend in class without getting caught. (At least, that was the plan!)

Years later, my mom and I were sorting through old papers when I came across my adoption record. It read: Baby Girl Hutchins, alias Baby Girl DuBois.

I stopped and asked, "Is this me?" My mom said yes, pronouncing it "Du Boys." That's when I knew she had never spoken that name before — it had just found its way back to me.

So when it came time to name my business, that memory came rushing back.

Angélique's Apothecary felt right — a name that honors my French roots, my journey of discovery, and the beautiful way life sometimes circles back on itself.

Every jar I make carries that spirit — a blend of heritage, honesty, and a touch of serendipity.
